Whatever isn’t in our case, we pull from Palma or Barcelona overnight.
The Ibiza rental problem isn’t availability — it’s timing. Most kit on the island sits with photographers, not rental houses; the two real shops close at 14:00 on Saturday and nobody answers a DM on Sunday. If the DP decides on Wednesday they want an Alexa 35 instead of a Mini LF, the next Baleària ferry from Palma leaves at 23:30 and arrives at 06:00 — which is fine if somebody has already booked the van on the deck. We run a standing inventory on the island, a pre-reserved slot on the Baleària overnight, and a runner who meets the truck at Port d’Eivissa at dawn.

Phase One XF IQ4 150MP, Hasselblad X2D 100C, Hasselblad H6D-100c, Sony a1 II, Canon R5 II, Leica SL3. Schneider, HC/HCD and Leica M glass. Capture One tethered sessions with calibrated client monitor built in.
Lighting — A package (flash and strobe)
Profoto Pro-11 2400, Profoto B10 Plus, Profoto D2, Broncolor Siros L 800, Broncolor Move 1200L packs. Full soft bank, beauty dish, strip bank, grids and gels. Generators for off-grid cliff and cove setups.
Lighting — B package (continuous and LED)
Aputure Nova P600c, Aputure LS 600X Pro, Nanlux Evoke 1200, Nanlux Dyno 650C, Astera Titan tubes, Kino Flo Diva-Lite, Dedolight DLED, Arri M18 HMI. Flexible for golden-hour fill, finca interiors and overnight fashion setups.
Grip, rigging and support
Manfrotto stand sets, EasyRig Vario 5, DJI Ronin 2, Freefly MoVI Pro, 4×4 diffusion, negative and butterfly frames, apple-box towers, magic-arm sets. Sandbag counts specced for Ibiza coastal wind loads.
DIT-ready support stack
Teradek Bolt 4K 750/1500, SmallHD client monitors, calibrated SmallHD reference display, Codex Vault shuttle, MacBook Pro M3 Max, Pomfort Silverstack, LTO-9 offload, redundant Jellyfish and SNS EVO, Capture One workstation. Bundle with camera rental or book as a standalone DIT package.

Kit list
DP or AC sends a kit list. We reply with what’s confirmed on-island, what needs a ferry, and how long each route takes.
Source and transport
Edge items booked on the Baleària overnight from Palma or chartered from Barcelona. Van slot pre-reserved on the deck so the kit reaches unit base before call time.
Test and deliver
Everything bench-tested the night before — sensor checks, flash tests, firmware confirmed, lens mounts inspected. Van at unit base by 07:30, runner stays through first turn-over.
Return and QC
Van back to the shop same night. Full QC and damage report filed before we invoice. Signed prep sheet accompanies every delivery.
On the island — our logistics base
Our Ibiza shop sits between Santa Gertrudis and San Josep, 18 minutes from Port d’Eivissa for the dawn ferry drop, 22 minutes from Ibiza airport for the Barcelona charter bag, 40 minutes from Cala d’Hort and the Es Vedrà sightline. Formentera we reach by the 07:00 Aquabus. Mallorca we reach by Baleària before noon.

Questions we get a lot
What’s the ferry delivery window if we need an edge item from Palma or Barcelona?
Baleària’s Palma–Ibiza overnight leaves at 23:30 and docks at 06:00. Confirm the booking by 18:00 the day before and the van is at unit base by 07:00 with kit bench-tested and ready. Barcelona–Ibiza is a longer window — Trasmediterránea leaves at 23:00 and arrives at 10:30, so we plan around a mid-morning delivery or charter-fly a Pelican case on the first IBZ flight.
Can you fly kit in from the mainland for an edge request?
Yes. For single Pelican cases — an extra prime, a specific flash head, a Phase One back — we use Iberia or Vueling baggage on the morning of the tech day. For packs over 32kg we use a named courier (MRW or SEUR Plus) with a 09:00 IBZ arrival slot. For very specific items we can also arrange airport-to-airport charter from mainland partners on the morning of the tech day. We tell you which route works before we book.
Can DIT be combined into the rental package?
Yes — we bundle a DIT cart and on-set DIT operator onto the same quote as camera rental. One crew, one invoice, one point of contact on set. The stack is MacBook Pro M3 Max, Pomfort Silverstack for motion, Capture One for stills, Teradek Bolt 4K 750/1500, calibrated reference monitor and LTO-9 archive. Do you hold backup units on-island?
Yes. Standing backups on-island for Arri Alexa Mini LF, Sony FX6, Phase One IQ4 and Profoto Pro-11 packs — the four we hand over most often. Backup flash pack is charged and left at unit base. Backup cine body stays at the shop, 22 minutes from most Santa Gertrudis fincas, with a runner on call. Backups only get logged against the shoot if they’re swapped in on the day.
What’s your testing and prep policy before a shoot day?
Every kit is bench-tested the night before pickup — sensor check on bodies, flash test on every Pro-11, Siros and B10 head, pack-voltage check on Broncolor Move, firmware confirmed on Alexa menus, lens mount and iris rings on every prime. Tech-day visits are free on any shoot over 3 days. A signed prep sheet travels with the van.
Do you cover Formentera and Mallorca from the Ibiza base?
Yes. Formentera by the 07:00 Aquabus — kit in a hard case on the boat, runner accompanies. Mallorca by Baleària or charter flight depending on kit volume and timing. We have a standing Palma contact for last-minute mainland sourcing. One quote, all islands.
What camera formats and codecs do you support for DIT?
Arri ARRIRAW and ProRes (LF and 35), Sony X-OCN and XAVC from Venice 2 and Burano, RED REDCODE RAW from V-Raptor, Canon RAW Light and Cinema RAW Light. Pomfort Silverstack handles checksum offload, QC and LTO archive for all formats. DaVinci Resolve workstation available for on-set dailies and LUT application.
How do you handle kit requests that arrive at short notice?
Short-notice requests (under 48 hours) get a same-afternoon call to confirm what’s on the island bench and what requires a ferry. If the Baleària slot is still open, edge items can be on-island by 06:00 the following morning. For requests inside 24 hours we go straight to the charter-flight or courier route. We try not to turn down a confirmed request without first offering an alternative route.
